Sneha Nayar-Bhalerao, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in May 2013. She earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (S.N.D.T.) Women’s University, Mumbai, India. Sneha currently works as an Assistant Professor at University of St. Thomas, Houston Texas and teaches their school counseling program. She also serves as the member of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA), the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES), and the Sam Houston Association of Play Therapy (SHAPT). With over five years of training and practice within the helping profession, Sneha has been privileged to work with a broad spectrum of clientele. She specializes working with adolescents and children dealing with anger; anxiety; stress; learning, emotional, or behavioral problems; adjustment difficulties; academic; and/or relationship issues. She also enjoys working with women struggling in relationships, career, and personal wellbeing. As a therapist, she is committed to help her clients overcome life challenges and recognize their true potential. Using empirically based approaches to counseling, her goal is to provide a safe and trustworthy counselor-client relationship, which will enable each person gain a deeper insight into their problem.
